Do Angry Mobs Bake and Bring Brownies?

By Lloyd Marcus
Since Aug. 28th in Sacramento, CA, I have been traveling across America performing on the Tea Party Express tour. Patriots are attending by the thousands, families, grandparents and kids. Everyone extremely enthusiastic, grateful and concerned for their country. The liberal media is calling them extremists, racists, ignorant and an angry mob. I am the only black performer on the team and the affection from the attendees has been overwhelming. Black conservative authors Selena and William Owens are traveling with us as speakers. Kenneth Gladney, the black conservative beaten by SEIU thugs is... (Read Full Article)

Mr. Marcus you have hit the nail right squarely on the head. We are not racists nor are we haters, Nazi's, radicals or extremists. We're just plain folks, hard working, regular Americans who don't want the government to take over our country and our lives. You are totally correct that you and your team are representing all of us who for one reason or another cannot make it to Washington DC to let our politicians know that we're not happy. You have a large voice that is demanding to be heard, and I think that many but not all in congress have heard that demand. Obambi has not or will not either way it doesn't matter. Thanks for being our voice.

Mr. Marcus, thank you for what you are doing, a great service to this country. Something has to be done to wake up the politicians, it is evident they regard the voters as something that has to be tolerated but not paid any attention as to their wishes. Hopefully we can wake them up this next election.

Mr. Marcus,
Saw you at the Troy, MI rally. There were maybe 2,000 in the crowd. The news reports are sparse this morning. I was amazed with the other people there. Well informed, sincerely concerned, as you said, about the direction our country is taking. Thank you and your companions for taking the message to the capital. I pray for all of you for your protection.

Today comes the announcement that the auto companies probably won't be able to repay the money given to them. Our country is going broke. In Ann Arbor, this past week end, the authorities forced an impromptu tent city of indigent people to move their little homesteads along the freeway. Unemployment insurance has run out for many. Michigan is so broke it is throwing eligible children off aide and even food stamps...It has a severe tax on business here as well as the automotive "crisis", so we have zero job growth. Now the state is releasing prisoners earlyand laying off State police, all the while we have a full time legislature that coyly enacted its own wage cuts to come into effect after they leave office. We must, as citizens, participate in government or we will get a government we don't want; I think we are all learning that lesson.

Actually angry mobs do bake brownies and bring them to protests. Remember the 1960's? Alot of protestors baked pot brownies and then ate them and got stoned whilst they protested what a mean country the USA is. And these people threw bricks and things. Sounds pretty angry to me smiling smiley.

To Both Congress and OBINGO:

Don't Underestimate the will of "WE THE PEOPLE "

You do so at your own peril.

WE are the boss and you will do what you are directed. NO Discussion, NO talking back, NO B.S. !

Have we made ourselves clear ?

If Not be prepared to look for another job, and your lifetime benefits are gone !!

We will need to keep doing this because this mess of a health care bill, and the mess of an energy bill (Cap-n-Trade) will be forced upon us by a very tone deaf congress.

Wholesale changes will need to happen with personnel in DC.

My husband and I attended a tea party/townhall on Sept 5 in Cincinnati. It was a great turn out. Approximately 18,000 people attended and there was not one disruption. We are everyday normal people that love this country and are very concerned about the way the country is headed under Obama. The right isn't the ones calling names, wearing vulgar t shirts.

S John Massoud, is it your implication that all crowds with brownies are angry? SO DAMN'd what? This is one stupid country where the discussion is not about why I'm angry, and I am, but THAT I'm angry. So WHAT? The political discourse is sad if all one has to do to avoid a discussion on logical points is to accuse the other side of being angry as if that nullifies their thinking somehow.

Lefties will talk about anything but the subject at hand, tha's how I know it's a game played by fools who don't understand how close this whole "western civilization" thing is to collapsing in a bloody, quivering, heap. Keep playing, children, keep dreaming of elections as the world burns around you and you're made to defend your mood of all things.

Lets march on congress, lets march on Charlie Rangle, Chris Dowd, Nancy Pelosi, Barney Frank, and Harry Reids, office----What do you mean we can't? They work for us!!!

They are insulated, out of touch, corrupt, and dangereous to our health, pocket books, freedom, (S) and liberty.

We can march till we are heard. Loud and clear. This is starting to get out. The Main stream media is ignoring the marches but Talk radio is still working, (at least as of yesterday) and the March on Washington will be all over the radio, and FOX.

DON'T THINK THE ABOVE MENTIONED GANG WILL ACKNOWLEDGE IT!!! For by doing so it will silence them and God forbid THEY be silenced.

Keep up the good work!!! KEEP THE FAITH!!!!!!!!

I just want to thank Mr. Marcus for his effort to save our country. This story brought tears to my eyes. I wish I could be there.

Thank you for the story - you made me cry.

I am torn up because I could not go with the Tea party to Washington, and you and everyone else that are going are privileged to be able to do so.
I will be finding ways to listen to Fox on the satellite radio so that I can experience it too. I will be driving through the desert to Vegas for
a business market - Drat that it is on the same week as this 9/12 gathering.

Wonder what's in the brownies & cookies over at the White House ? For all they do and those they choose , there can't be a clear eye in the place.

I'm proud that Lloyd lives not too far from me here in Central Florida. He's done great by his community over the years here. I actually heard about him standing up for Constitutional rights involving a painting he created before I had ever moved down here from Virginia.

Liberty is in his blood, in his soul!

We are watching him stand up for his greater community! The United States of America! This march on Washington is history in the making.

Focus your prayers on all involved.

"These folks are not racists, nor are they an angry mob. They are hard working decent American people who love their country ..."

I suspect most American are like that.

Now the perplexing part, how do you tell your neighbors who are of Negro race the same important message? How do you get through to them? I'm in Philly. How do I convey this message to Obama-followers of color that his message is prejudicial and my message is America, peace, love, and harmony?

Mr. Marcus - Thanks for continuing to write pieces for AT from the road. Much appreciated! I love your work. One thing I've noticed that is curious to me is what appears to be your own grappling with whether or not it seems necessary or relevant to state that you are black. In your last piece you made the point that this was irrelvant because you are an AMERICAN. But I see that the color of your skin became an issue again in this piece and I'm wondering why. I would love to read a piece by you that shines a light on this issue for you as a man, as a conservative, as a writer, etc. I can imagine why it could be a struggle to decide the place your skin color takes in any given context. But, rather than imagine about it, I'd be fascinated to hear from you about it.

Jennifer, I'd guess it's because the other side keeps trying to make it all about race, and Mr. Marcus is pointing out that it is not about race, but Liberty.

Thank you sir, you do speak for me too!

Kudos to all the folks that make the pilgrimage to Washington DC. It’s pretty clear who the good guys and the bad guys are. I’m pretty sure that over half the country is comprised of “good guys”, of every race, creed, sex, ethnicity or whatever; people who are Americans first and something else by happenstance. The good guys live under and support the US constitution and individual liberty and responsibility. All the “other” guys are people who despise America and want to either control people’s lives or be controlled by tyrants.

Obama is the titular head of the evil side and he still has many cult followers; the list goes on and on; most of congress, half of the SCOTUS, most of the media, most of the lawyers, most of the unions, most of the lifetime welfare recipients, all of the communists, all of the radical ACORN types, most of the college professors, all the Islamic radicals, most of the illegals and even most of the entertainment industry. Obama has a pretty well equipped and funded hoards of miscreants but the good, patriotic people of America will eventually prevail.

We waited over an hour for the bus in Little Rock that evening because of the Whistle Stop . The crowd all stayed and we had a great time. I also had tears in my eyes singing God Bless America, it was fantastic. It was sure fun "callin the Hoggs" when the buses rolled up. It was well worth the wait and I am happy the people at the Whistle Stop got the opportunity to meet and greet ya'll. Thank you Tea Party Express!!!!

Does anyone know what the anticipated size of the crowd is at this point for 9/12? The web site organizing this used to have a number posted, but it doesn't have one anymore. Several weeks ago it was at 10,000. I surely hope the number has swelled since then. Anyone have any reliable sources?

Jennifer--they are deliverately not posting a number for DC as they want the left.media etc to be shocked. Those who are not going to DC. Many states are holding "support rallies" on the 12th for those who can't make the trip but, want to be involved. Check the teapartypatriots site and click on your state. There will be one here in Phoenix at the state capitol. I will be in DC. Just because you can't make it to DC is no reason not to get out and show numbers.
