She even has an audio of Obama expounding the same junk on a Chicago Radio show in 2001.

Obambi wrote " the Constitution allows for many things, but what it does not allow is the most revealing. The so-called Founders did not allow for economic freedom. While political freedom is supposedly a cornerstone of the document, the distribution of wealth is not even mentioned. While many believed that the new Constitution gave them liberty, it instead fitted them with the shackles of hypocrisy."

NOTICE THE WORDING; so called Founder? What does he mean so called, either they are or they aren't, you can't be sort of pregnant;
"distribution of wealth" - nothing new here, he's used that phrase before and will be using it again
"shackles of hypocircy" - HUH??

If this had been written by a Hugo Chavez or a Castro I would be able to understand where the writer was coming from. But this is from the person who has become the President of the United States. Does anyone doubt that he intends to remake our country into some kind of third world banana republic? Obambi hates America, he hates Israel, he hates conservatives, he hates White People, he hates police authority (except that imposed by himself). But most of all I think he hates himself.

When will the sheep in congress wake up to the agenda this idiot pursues, i.e. the destruction of our way of governance? Our founding fathers, in their wisdom, made provisions for this type of "bad behavior". They included the provision of impeachment of the chief executive for "high crimes and misdemeanors." Just how much is needed for them to realize that Ozero is guilty of high crimes? Will he have to burn the Constitution before they realize he despises its very existence? It is time to STOP the MADNESS!

The Founding Father's had their history of wealth redistribution from the very beginning of settlement. Obama is so poor in history, he probably never had a grasp of what happened to the original colony in Jamestown. Does he really think the Founding Fathers were unaware of the results when some are given the work of others? Clearly, he is unaware that they all starve to death together. I would love to see the whole of the ten pages or preferably the whole paper, because one cannot get a grasp of his language skills or perceptions from a paragraph. But from this snippet, one questions if this is academic critical thinking of the caliber to get accepted to law school at Harvard. But, I would take all this with a grain of salt because I think the original thesis had something to do with bi-lateral nuclear disarmament with the Soviet Union.

More pertinently is the fact that an old thesis for McDonnell is worth two stories in the WaPo, but no stories on Obama's work is "fair and balanced" to the liberal media.

The lesson we must learn is that it was OUR apathy that did not force the liberal media to expose this phony for what he is, an faux intellectual high on affirmative action. My answer to the redistribution of wealth is we carried a failed welfare program for the better part of forty years, add in busing and affirmative action costs, and redistribute that to the tax-payers who paid it in the first place. Organized theft is still theft and a terrible waste of possibly productive minds.

Hey Bambi, what have you produced all your life? You owe me, so just distribute my share back into the Treasury you robbed.

DL's comment delineates the problem, which is "Obama has thus far NOT RELEASED ANY ACTUAL DOCUMENTS! If this is a fake, prove it. Release your actual papers, transcripts, etc..." There would be no discussion, if BHO's documents available in the public domain for anyone's review. Why has BHO spent millions in keeping this information sealed?

Apparently Michael Ledeen took a satire seriously (Obama never wrote a paper called "Aristocracy Reborn" with those quotes) and I took Ledeen seriously and wrote the initial post published here. I had e-mailed Rush when I began to conclusively doubt the story and he has backed off the claim that Obama wrote these things. Being Rush, he said he would not demand that Obama prove he didn't write those words!

Oh..................my......................God

This is so frightening. I almost have to remind myself that this is not a bad dream, that this man is really our president. But what is really telling is what the media elites and other elites reveal about themselves in their adoration of all things Obama. They've lost all sense, if they ever had it, of what it means to be an American. They have no idea of what a gift it is to live here, in freedom.

They really want nothing more than to control all our lives, because of course, they know better.

Is it just me or...............I look at the world and marvel at what our founders created. How can anyone know the history of the world and not marvel at what the U.S. has achieved in just a few hundred years? Our prosperity, our freedom, our way of life, is no accident. The founders gaves us the framework to build this society. Scour the history books all you want, indulge your inner revolutionary all you want with fantasies of Che, Castro, Mao and other failures. You will never find another group of men and women who truly revolutionized life on this earth that comes close to our founders.

Yes, we can celebrate diversity and culture all we want, but if the rest of the world is really so much better than us in all endeavors, why do people still come here? Why did we achieve in a couple of centuries what they haven't in thousands of years? Why do our poor enjoy a standard of living that much of the world would welcome?

I've travelled the world, I speak another language, I am an immigrant myself (arrived as a baby), I studied International Relations, and lived briefly abroad. I admire much of what I've seen and experienced in other parts of the world, but no one touches the USA. We're not perfect, but open your eyes and look around. This excerpt shows the upside down and backwards nature of Obama's thinking about america and the role of government. First and foremost, th eConstitution did not GIVE the American people anything, the American people set up a federal government to do specific things and have limited powers. THEY RESERVED all of their unalienable rights, andto be sure of it the Bill of Rights was passed, and th e Ninth Amendment makes plain that the enumeration of some rights expressly did not and wa s not to be construed as taking away or diminishing all the retained rights. The floor debate shows they could not even enumerate all the rights they saw as obviously theirs, as there were dozens and dozens and unstated dozens more. Clear among the rights reserved are the use of one's property to pursue happiness (within proper legal limits) and the right to control whether and how to seek health care for our bodies.

So here we have this guy. You can envision him at Columbia, with many a chip on the shoulder, having soaked in lessons from his tutors who were Communists, there getting taught the bullcrap on "socialism is best " by faculty with similar ideas at Occidental and Columbia, and arriving at the perception that American government can put the American people in financial shackles. Holy ____, this is a living nightmare.

He obviously was swearing to uphold a Constitution different from ours.

Does it really matter at this point whether or not this is authenticated? Couldn't someone simply write Obama's thesis at this point then present it as authentic? What is Obama going to do? He would have to produce his authentic thesis to prove the fraud, proving what a fraud he truly is. Isn't that what Clifford Irving did with Howard Hughes?

Posted by: JRG3

IF this document is in fact a writing by our President, it shows Mr Obama already had a 'spread the wealth' mentality before he reached college. What that tells me is our President formed opinions when he was a child and those opinions are the same he holds today. Mom or dad raised him up in the way he went. He is so typical of the idealist liberal who considers gubmint mandated equality of outcome an appropriate role for government. I can understand why he's critical of the Constitution and chooses to ignore it. What he stands for and what the Constitution stands for seem to be almost diametrically opposed.

HUGE DIFFERENCE! We KNOW a thesis was written. We KNOW it has not been made available during or after the campaign / election. The PROOF would be on OBAMA to show us what it DID SAY -- unlike Rush whose words are recorded in so many places that the burden was on the accusers to demonstrate that he said those things...

We have plenty of Obama's own words on video / youtube, etc... We KNOW his views in his own voice...

Things like Cloward/Piven and "We are just 5 days away from the fundamental transformation of America"... Do we have to wait and see what the result is before we believe we have elected a Socialist/Communist? It will be a little late then...

Even if Rush DID make those ugly statements (which he clearly DID NOT), the end result would NOT be some fundamental transformation of America...

The differences between these two "statements" (Rush versus Obama) are simply incomparable!

Let's try this simply: Obama did not write any paper as described in the initial story that everyone is commenting on. The original post, which I wrote, credits Michael Ledeen at PJM as the source. Ledeen has since backed off the claim that Obama wrote the paper. People, please! There is plenty of stuff that Obama has said that is out there where the buses don't run....but he did not write this paper or say these things about the Constitution!

A report is circulating among the wingnuts that I had a peek at Barack Obama's senior thesis. It is completely false. I've never seen Obama's thesis. I have no idea where this report comes from--but I can assure you that it's complete nonsense.

Update: Michael Ledeen now has apologized to me on his blog, claiming that he, Limbaugh and others were punked by a satire. I appreciate the apology...but I wonder about what the willingness to take this cheesy crap as gospel says about Ledeen's--and Boss Rush's--sensibility. Actually, on second thought, I don't wonder all that much.

The source I relied on for the news about the supposed Obama thesis and the quotes that appeared "Obama Not Getting Media Coverage He Deserves!" was Michael Ledeen at PJM. He has now retracted his story and apologized for any trouble his post has caused to any, stating that he was taken in by what was either a fraud or a satire. I too sincerely apologize to American Thinker, its readership and Rush Limbaugh, for my part in having spread what turned out to be entirely false. I should have checked further than a single source for something with such volatile content.

This is a link to Mr. Ledeen's statement:

CommonSense and others,

Note the timelines on these comments.

The first comment in the thread was at 9:13, almost immediately after the initial post with the story. The times on the comments do not reflect the real time here on the East Coast where I wrrite, but they do properly show intervals. By 9:59, three quarters of an hour later by time stamp, I (DenisK), the author, have already posted that I have doubts that the story I picked up from Michael Ledeen's blog was real and I was having trouble verifying it from other news sources. In the interim and afterward, I tried without success to contact Mr. Ledeen (but did get through to PJM with my concerns) and to find any news source connecting Joe Klein to a supposed thesis. Rush Limbaugh started to reference the Ledeen claim on his radio show, and believing in abject shame that he picked it up from my post at AT, I immediately e-mailed him and stated that I was the AT author, that I could not verify Ledeen's claim, checked Ledeen's source and found it to be satire and that he should back away from a story that was in all likelihood totallybogus. If you go to the transcripts of Rush's show, you will find that he backed off the story within minutes of talking about it! Immediately after that I posted in the comments again at AT (11:42 a.m.) with a correction stating that Ledeen had inadvertently taken a satire seriously and that I had taken Ledeen's post seriously and the story was bogus. Not long after that Mr. Ledeen posted a link at the top of his blog post to an apology he offered for the mistake, and he also personally contacted Joe Klein and apologized.

Yes, CommonSense, bad mistakes, very much including mine. However, how quickly did we seek to correct them? Mr. Ledeen, Rush Limbaugh and PJM and the blog post author here at AT all posted corrections or backed off the story or both within hours or less. Was that the case with the major media and many on ... (350 word limit)
